Dallas, Texas — Medical City Healthcare has named Brandy Stegall, RN, NEA-BC, division chief nursing executive (DCNE) for HCA North Texas, starting Aug. 31.
As DCNE for the HCA North Texas division, Stegall will oversee nursing practice, education, informatics, research and operations for nurses across Medical City Healthcare’s 22 hospitals and Rapides Regional Medical Center. She will partner with hospital, division and corporate leaders to advance nursing excellence, strengthen clinical quality and patient safety, and support the continued growth and development of nursing teams across the division.

Stegall brings nearly 30 years of nursing and leadership experience, including 22 years with HCA Healthcare. Prior to this role, she served as chief nursing officer (CNO) of Medical City Fort Worth. She held prior CNO roles at Medical City Denton and Medical City Lewisville.
Her clinical background includes emergency medicine, critical care and cardiac catheterization. Throughout her career, Stegall has led nursing teams through three successful Magnet® designations and earned multiple HCA Healthcare Unit of Distinction Awards in emergency services, heart and vascular care, and intensive care across three consecutive years.
Stegall earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Georgia. She is board certified as a nurse executive by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and was recognized as one of the Dallas-Fort Worth Great 100 Nurses in 2014. She has served as chair of the board for Special Abilities of North Texas since 2014 and serves on advisory boards for Galen College of Nursing and The University of North Texas Health Science Center.
